Who should not take Trazodone HCL?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- low amount of magnesium in the blood
- low amount of potassium in the blood
- suicidal thoughts
- closed angle glaucoma
- torsades de pointes
- a type of abnormal heart rhythm
- abnormal EKG with QT changes from birth
- priapism
- a prolonged erection of the penis
- Peyronie's disease
- fibrous tissue formation in the penis
- a disorder with excess antidiuretic hormone called syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone
- an increased risk of bleeding
- serotonin syndrome
- a type of disorder with high serotonin levels
- heart attack within the last 30 days
- prolonged QT interval on EKG
- orthostatic hypotension
- a form of low blood pressure
- a bent penis with erection
- risk of angle-closure glaucoma due to narrow angle of anterior chamber of eye
- low amount of sodium in the blood
