Who should not take Proleukin Vial?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- an infection due to a fungus
- spread of cancer to the brain or spinal cord
- thyroid gland inflammation
- disease in which body has immune response against itself
- confusion
- repeated seizures with unconsciousness between episodes
- method of removing waste/poison from blood with dialysis
- angina
- a type of chest pain
- a bacterial infection
- opportunistic fungal infection
- an infection due to a protozoa organism
- untreated decreased level of thyroid hormones
- diabetes
- toxic psychosis
- myasthenia gravis
- a skeletal muscle disorder
- a heart attack
- bacterial infection of heart valve
- supraventricular tachycardia
- rapid ventricular heartbeat
- abnormal heart rhythm
- capillary leak syndrome
- a condition where fluid leaks out of small blood vessels
- fluid in the lungs
- Crohn's disease
- a hole in the intestine
- inflammation of the gallbladder
- bullous pemphigoid
- coma
- mental status changes
- visible water retention
- a patient who is producing milk and breastfeeding
- decreased blood volume
- sepsis
- chronic kidney disease stage 5 (failure)
- pericardial tamponade
- a disorder of the heart
- atrial fibrillation
- slow heartbeat
- low blood pressure
- an ischemic bowel
- a condition where the blood flow to the intestine is significantly decreased
- liver problems
- bleeding of the stomach or intestines
- glomerulonephritis
- a condition that affects the kidneys
- scleroderma
- hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues
- arthritis
- seizures
- decreased urine production
- inflammation of blood vessels that carry blood in the brain
- kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
- lung failure causing loss of breath
- pregnancy
