If you are an adult over 60

  • Management or Monitoring Precaution: Hepatic-Decreased drug clearance by 50% in the elderly. Titrate dose upward more slowly. Endocrine-May exacerbate or cause SIADH or hyponatremia. Monitor sodium level closely when starting or changing dosages in older adults.

Giving Luvox CR to a child under 12

  • Severe Precaution: Possible increased suicidal ideation and attempt. Risk of hyperkinesia, agitation, depression, dysmenorrhea and skin rash. Monitor height and weight.
