- slow heartbeat
- decreased lung function
- inflammatory bowel disease
- biliary and gallbladder problem
- decreased kidney function
- the stomach and intestines to move food at a slower pace
- decreased function of the adrenal gland
- drug abuse
- low blood pressure
- liver problems
- acute pain following an operation
- high pressure within the skull
- slow and shallow breathing
- worsening chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- history of opioid overdose
