Who should not take Irofol Liquid?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

Conditions:

  • iron metabolism disorder causing increased iron storage
  • a type of blood disorder where the red blood cells burst called hemolytic anemia
  • ulcerative colitis
  • an inflammatory condition of the intestines
  • excess iron due to repeated blood transfusions
  • an overload of iron in the blood
  • an ulcer from too much stomach acid
  • a type of stomach irritation called gastritis
  • diverticular disease

Allergies:

  • Iron Complex
  • Iron Analogues
  • Folic Acid Containing Drugs
  • Vitamin B
