How the interaction occurs:
Indinavir needs some gastric acid to be absorbed. Your stomach medicine decreases the amount of acid in your stomach.
What might happen:
Your stomach medicine may decrease the amount of indinavir that your body absorbs. Indinavir may not work as well if you are taking your stomach medicine.
What you should do about this interaction:
Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. If you have any questions about how or when to take your medicine, ask your pharmacist.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
