Who should not take Tobramycin Sulfate Solution?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

Conditions:

  • diarrhea from an infection with Clostridium difficile bacteria
  • disorder of nerve that controls hearing and balance
  • low amount of calcium in the blood
  • ringing in the ears
  • decreased kidney function
  • pregnancy
  • low amount of magnesium in the blood
  • dehydration
  • myasthenia gravis
  • a skeletal muscle disorder
  • sensation of spinning or whirling
  • food poisoning of infant
  • a type of movement disorder called parkinsonism
  • MT-RNR1 increased risk of aminoglycoside-induced hearing loss

Allergies:

  • Aminoglycosides
