Perhexiline/Selected CYP2D6 Inhibitors Interactions

How the interaction occurs:
Some selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors may slow down how quickly your liver processes perhexiline.
What might happen:
The amount of perhexiline in your blood may increase and cause side effects such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headaches, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, weakness, and changes in your heart's rhythm.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Let your doctor know if you notice any side effects of your medicine. Your doctor may want to check the amount of perhexiline in your blood more often when you start or stop taking your SSRI. Your doctor may want to change the dose of your perhexiline.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
