The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency
- a high amount of oxalic acid in urine
- iron metabolism disorder causing increased iron storage
- sickle cell anemia
- calcium oxalate kidney stones
- decreased kidney function
- anemia from pyruvate kinase and G6PD deficiencies
- low amount of potassium in the blood
- Leber's hereditary optic atrophy
- inflammation of the stomach called atrophic gastritis
- sarcoidosis
- high amount of phosphate in the blood
- high amount of calcium in the blood
- excessive amount of vitamin D in the body
- kidney stones
