How the interaction occurs:

Both of your medicines may decrease how much calcium is in your body.

What might happen:

Taking these medicines together may increase your risk of low levels of calcium in the blood leading to severe muscle spasms or muscle pain, mental/mood changes, or seizures.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know right away that you are taking these medicines together. If you experience a seizure, muscle spasms or muscle pain, contact your healthcare professional right away.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
