Ulipristal/Rifamycins Interactions

How the interaction occurs:
Rifamycins (rifabutin, rifampin, and rifapentine) may speed up how quickly your liver processes ulipristal. This effect may last for 2-3 weeks after you stop taking rifamycins.
What might happen:
Ulipristal may not be as effective if you are taking or have taken a rifamycin in the previous 3 weeks.
What you should do about this interaction:
Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together, or have taken a rifamycin recently. Discuss your options with your healthcare provider.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
