How the interaction occurs:

Both your cancer medicine and your contraceptive may make you more likely to have blood clots.

What might happen:

Your risk of developing an unwanted blood clot, especially in the legs, may be increased.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines. If you develop a warm or hardened area in your legs, aching in the legs, pins-and-needles sensations, problems bearing weight on your legs, chest pain, or shortness of breath, contact your doctor right away.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
