How the interaction occurs:
Your medicine may slow down how quickly your liver processes mefloquine.
What might happen:
The amount mefloquine in your blood may increase and cause an increase in side effects such as headache, dizziness, difficulty sleeping, palpitations, abdominal pain, and muscle aches.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Your doctor may want to change your medicine. Let your healthcare professional know if the side effects of your medicine increase.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
