How the interaction occurs:
Belumosudil needs stomach acid to be absorbed into your body. Proton pump inhibitors decrease the amount of acid in your stomach and can decrease the levels of belumosudil in your blood.
What might happen:
The amount of belumosudil in your blood may decrease and it may not work as well.
What you should do about this interaction:
Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. If you have any questions about how or when to take your medicine, ask your pharmacist.If you are taking belumosudil your doctor may want to change your dose so that it will be effective while you are also taking the interacting medicine.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
