Iptacopan/Strong CYP2C8 Inhibitors Interactions

How the interaction occurs:

Some medicines may slow down how quickly your liver processes iptacopan.

What might happen:

The amount of iptacopan in your blood may increase and you may be at a higher risk for high cholesterol and serious infections when taking these two medicines together.

What you should do about this interaction:

Make sure healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Your doctor may want to change your medicines while you are taking iptacopan.Seek medical care immediately if you experience fever with or without shivers or chills, chest pain and cough, breathlessness or fast breathing, high heart rate, headache with nausea or vomiting, back or neck stiffness, confusion, body aches with flu-like symptoms, clammy skin and/or eye sensitivity to light.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
