Who should not take Vagifem Tablet?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- dementia
- seizures
- mammography abnormal
- neoplasm of female genital organ
- tobacco smoking
- systemic lupus erythematosus
- an autoimmune disease
- endometriosis
- disease of the gallbladder
- liver problems
- high blood pressure
- inherited disorder of continuing episodes of swelling
- hepatic porphyria
- high amount of triglyceride in the blood
- diabetes
- a condition with low thyroid hormone levels
- tumor that is dependent on estrogen for growth
- cancer in the lining of the uterus
- cancer of the ovary
- breast cancer
- uterine fibroids
- fluid overload
- a decrease in sharpness of vision called reduced visual acuity
- a blockage of blood vessels in the retina of the eye
- a migraine headache
- increased risk of blood clotting
- deficiency of anti-clotting agents
