- Management or Monitoring Precaution: Neuro/Psych-Avoid in older adults with or at high risk of delirium because of inducing or worsening delirium. Avoid in elderly with dementia or cognitive impairment. Renal-Renal impairment may increase risk for confusion in elderly. Avoid or reduce dose for CrCl < 50 mL/min. Hepatic-Hepatic impairment may increase risk for confusion.
