Who should not take CARISOPRODOL COMPOUND-CODEINE?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

Conditions:

  • anemia from pyruvate kinase and G6PD deficiencies
  • bleeding of the stomach or intestines
  • liver problems
  • alcohol use disorder
  • pregnancy
  • decreased kidney function
  • stomach or intestinal ulcer
  • nasal polyp
  • Reye's syndrome
  • decreased blood platelets
  • thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura
  • a type of blood disorder
  • a decrease in the blood clotting protein prothrombin
  • anemia
  • low vitamin K levels
  • systemic mastocytosis
  • aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease
  • overdose of the drug aspirin
  • a patient who is producing milk and breastfeeding
  • a type of joint disorder due to excess uric acid in the blood called gout
  • bleeding
  • increased risk of bleeding due to clotting disorder
  • addiction to a drug
  • drug abuse
  • inducing of a relaxed easy state
  • CYP2C19 poor metabolizer
  • hereditary liver metabolism disorder
  • alcohol intoxication
  • a low seizure threshold
  • seizures
  • kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
  • untreated decreased level of thyroid hormones
  • decreased function of the adrenal gland
  • cor pulmonale
  • low blood pressure
  • decreased lung function
  • constipation
  • severe liver disease
  • acute inflammation of the pancreas
  • sleep apnea
  • an inability to completely empty the bladder
  • CYP2D6 ultrarapid metabolizer
  • worsening chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • surgical removal of the adenoids in pediatric patient
  • asthma attack
  • blockage of the stomach or intestine
  • biliary and gallbladder problem
  • a condition where the body is unable to maintain adequate blood flow called shock
  • weakened patient
  • high pressure within the skull
  • CYP2D6 poor metabolizer
  • surgical removal of the tonsils in pediatric patient
  • history of opioid overdose
  • inherited dysfunction of autonomic nerve function
  • chronic kidney disease stage 5 (failure)

  • Opioids - Morphine Analogues
  • Tramadol
  • Salicylates
  • NSAIDS (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug)
  • Aspirin (Tartrazine Only)
  • Salicylates
  • NSAIDS
  • Pyrazoles
  • Carbamates
