Vadadustat and erythropoietin stimulating agents both increase the risk of blood clots.

You may be at a higher risk for heart attack, stroke, or blood clots in the blood vessels in your legs or lungs when taking these two medicines together.

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together.Seek medical care immediately if you experience chest pain; shortness of breath; pain in your arms, neck, jaw or back; swelling, pain, or tenderness in your legs; sudden numbness of weakness, especially on one side of the body; headache or confusion; or problems with vision, speech, or balance.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
