How the interaction occurs:

Your cancer medicine may increase the levels of warfarin in your blood, so the effect of warfarin may be increased.

What might happen:

You may experience an increased chance for bleeding such as nosebleeds, bleeding from your gums, unusual bruising, or dark stools.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these two medicines together. They may already may be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.If your doctor prescribes these medicines together, you may need to have your your blood (INR test) checked more often to make sure you are on a safe and effective dose of warfarin. Let your doctor know right away if you have any signs of bleeding.Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first. Let your doctor know right away if you have any symptoms of bleeding.
