Who should not take Sav-On Prenatal Multi Vit/Min Tablet?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- sarcoidosis
- a high amount of calcium in urine
- constipation
- decreased kidney function
- increased activity of the parathyroid gland
- high amount of calcium in the blood
- dehydration
- kidney stones
- diarrhea
- a high amount of oxalic acid in urine
- sickle cell anemia
- iron metabolism disorder causing increased iron storage
- anemia from pyruvate kinase and G6PD deficiencies
- calcium oxalate kidney stones
- glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency
- tumor that dissolves bone
- a type of blood disorder where the red blood cells burst called hemolytic anemia
- ulcerative colitis
- an inflammatory condition of the intestines
- excess iron due to repeated blood transfusions
- an overload of iron in the blood
- an ulcer from too much stomach acid
- a type of stomach irritation called gastritis
- diverticular disease
- low amount of potassium in the blood
- inflammation of the stomach called atrophic gastritis
- Leber's hereditary optic atrophy
- high amount of phosphate in the blood
- excessive amount of vitamin D in the body
- decreased blood-clotting from low vitamin K
- increased risk of bleeding due to clotting disorder
- excess body acid
- a condition where the adrenal glands produce less hormones called Addison's disease
- familial hyperkalemic periodic paralysis
- Thomsen disease
- severe heart block
- stomach or intestinal ulcer
- blockage of the stomach or intestine
- severe burn
- problems with food passing through the esophagus
- high levels of potassium in the blood
- a high amount of chloride in the blood
- complete heart block
- stomach muscle paralysis and decreased function
- inflammation of the epiglottis
- cessation of urine production
- blockage of the esophagus
