Who should not take Hydrocodone-Ibuprofen?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

Conditions:

  • systemic mastocytosis
  • a heart attack
  • liver problems
  • bleeding of the stomach or intestines
  • a rupture in the wall of the stomach or intestine
  • aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease
  • history of gastric bypass surgery
  • increased risk of bleeding due to clotting disorder
  • an increased risk of bleeding
  • high blood pressure
  • chronic heart failure
  • a blood clot
  • stomach or intestinal ulcer
  • pregnancy
  • tobacco smoking
  • time immediately after coronary bypass surgery
  • alcohol use disorder
  • kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
  • chronic kidney disease stage 5 (failure)
  • chronic kidney disease stage 4 (severe)
  • a stroke
  • history of kidney donation
  • kidney transplant
  • CYP2C9 poor metabolizer
  • CYP2C9 intermediate metabolizer (AS 1)
  • acute inflammation of the pancreas
  • severe liver disease
  • constipation
  • blockage of the stomach or intestine
  • paralysis of the intestines
  • decreased lung function
  • low blood pressure
  • cor pulmonale
  • drug abuse
  • decreased function of the adrenal gland
  • a condition where the adrenal glands produce less hormones called Addison's disease
  • untreated decreased level of thyroid hormones
  • asthma attack
  • history of opioid overdose
  • worsening chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • morbid obesity
  • inherited dysfunction of autonomic nerve function
  • intense abdominal pain
  • high pressure within the skull
  • weakened patient
  • an inability to completely empty the bladder
  • an increase of carbon dioxide in the blood
  • a condition where the body is unable to maintain adequate blood flow called shock
  • sleep apnea
  • seizures
  • coma
  • enlarged prostate
  • narrowing of the tube that empties urine from the bladder
  • decreased kidney function
  • spasm of a bile duct tract
  • disease of the gallbladder
  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • stomach or intestinal tract operation
  • alcohol intoxication
  • toxic psychosis
  • psychosis caused by sudden alcohol withdrawal
  • dehydration
  • a brain tumor

  • Tramadol
  • Salicylates
  • NSAIDS (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug)
  • Salicylates
