How the interaction occurs:

Teplizumab may decrease your immune system's response to vaccination.

What might happen:

Vaccinations may not work as well if you receive them within 2 weeks before, during, or within 6 weeks after stopping teplizumab therapy.

What you should do about this interaction:

Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking or if you have taken teplizumab within the previous 6 weeks. Your doctor may want to perform a blood test a few weeks after your vaccination to determine if the vaccine worked.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
