Who should not take Methotrexate LPF Solution?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

Conditions:

  • radiation therapy of vertebral column
  • radiation therapy of cranium
  • abnormal liver function tests
  • diarrhea
  • severe liver disease
  • hardening of the liver
  • hardening of the liver caused by alcohol
  • ulcerative colitis
  • an inflammatory condition of the intestines
  • an ulcer from too much stomach acid
  • canker sores
  • escape of fluid into the lungs
  • alcohol use disorder
  • low blood counts due to bone marrow failure
  • decreased function of bone marrow
  • dehydration
  • excess liver fibrous tissue
  • ascites
  • pregnancy
  • low levels of white blood cells
  • decreased blood platelets
  • anemia
  • condition resulting from a defective immune system
  • a patient who is producing milk and breastfeeding
  • kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
  • chronic kidney disease stage 5 (failure)
  • chronic kidney disease stage 4 (severe)
  • chronic kidney disease stage 3B (moderate)
  • chronic kidney disease stage 3A (moderate)

Allergies:

  • Folic Acid Antagonist
  • Methotrexate Analogues
