Who should not take Loxitane?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- a high prolactin level
- neuroleptic malignant syndrome
- a reaction characterized by fever
- muscle rigidity and confusion
- pigmentary retinopathy
- low levels of a type of white blood cell called neutrophils
- tardive dyskinesia
- a disorder characterized by involuntary movements of the face
- mouth and tongue
- glaucoma
- an increased pressure in the eye
- serious problems with heart and blood vessels
- coma
- impairment of central nervous system due to medication
- seizures
- an inability to completely empty the bladder
- dementia in an elderly person
- alcohol use disorder
- extrapyramidal disease
- a type of movement disorder
- a type of movement disorder called parkinsonism
