How the interaction occurs:

When these two medicines are taken together, your hepatitis C medicine (ombitasvir-paritaprevir-ritonavir) may slow down how fast your body processes your disopyramide.

What might happen:

Your blood levels of disopyramide may increase and cause side effects including potentially life-threatening changes to your heart rhythm.

What you should do about this interaction:

Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know you are taking these two medicines together. They may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.If you experience an irregular heartbeat/palpitations, feel dizzy, or have fainting episodes, contact your doctor as soon as possible. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
