Ospemifene/Fluconazole; Voriconazole Interactions

How the interaction occurs:

Fluconazole or voriconazole may slow down how quickly your body processes ospemifene.

What might happen:

The amount of medicine in your blood may increase and cause more side effects than expected. If you take this medicine combination for an extended period of time, the lining of your uterus(womb) could thicken, increasing the risk for cancer of the uterus lining.

What you should do about this interaction:

Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. They may want you to stop taking ospemifene while you are taking fluconazole or voriconazole. Contact your doctor as soon as possible if you have any unusual vaginal bleeding so they can find the cause.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
