Giving Zinc Acetate Capsule to a child under 12
- Management or Monitoring Precaution: Safety and effectiveness not established in pediatric patients < 10 years.
- Management or Monitoring Precaution: Monitor for copper deficiency. Urinary copper levels should be maintained slightly above the upper limit of normal or in the high normal range (i.e. 40-50 mcg/24 h).
