How the interaction occurs:

Trilaciclib may inhibit the ability of your kidneys to remove clofarabine from your body.

What might happen:

The amount of clofarabine in your body may increase and cause more side effects than expected, including infections, bleeding, kidney damage and liver damage.

What you should do about this interaction:

Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Your doctor may want to change the dose of clofarabine or change you to a different medicine. Let your doctor or pharmacist know if you develop any new side effects of your medication, including nausea, vomiting, severe diarrhea, loss of appetite, decreased urination, dark urine, yellowing of your eyes, fever, infections, unusual bleeding or bruising, or rash.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
