Letermovir/Carbamazepine Interactions

How the interaction occurs:
Your medicine carbamazepine may decrease how much letermovir is absorbed into your body, or speed up how quickly your body processes letermovir. Also, your medicine letermovir may slow down how your body processes carbamazepine.
What might happen:
The amount of letermovir in your body may decrease, and it may not work as well.The amount of carbamazepine in your body may increase and may cause more side effects than expected.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Make sure they know if you are taking, or have recently stopped taking carbamazepine. Your doctor may want to change one or both of your medicines.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
