NSAIDs; Salicylates/Minoxidil Interactions

How the interaction occurs:

Both your anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID) and minoxidil tablets can cause fluid to build up in your body, which can affect your heart and lung function.

What might happen:

There is an higher risk of side effects from both medications when taken together. In addition, minoxidil may not work as well to control your blood pressure.

What you should do about this interaction:

Contact your doctor if you experience dizziness, trouble breathing, or swelling of your ankles, feet, or hands. It may be necessary to adjust the dose of your medicines or change you to a different medication.Your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
