It is happening quickly, and I have still only been on the generic Luvox for about a week now. I did not do a thing all day today except for stay in bed. If that is what the medication is going to do for me, make me not care about anything, then I am going to quit taking it. It is a good thing I only took 1/2 a pill daily instead of what the psychiatrist wanted me to take. I would hate to see ... Show Full Comment

I have still only been on the generic Luvox for a short time but I have noticed that the more I take it the more I have a hard time staying awake and I have almost no desire to do any of my housework. I have even almost totally lost my interest in vacuuming and that was something I would do up to 6 times a day and would have probably done it more often even than that if I could have. My hygiene ... Show Full Comment

I have only been on Fluvoxamine Maleate 25 MG for a few days now. That is the generic for Luvox. A while after the first 2 doses, I was kind of tired and more irritable and moody than usual. The tiredness is going away already and my moods are evening back out already. I have already noticed just in a short time that the compulsions to keep cleaning all day and all night are not as bad and th ... Show Full Comment

This drug should be illegal!!! The side effects were intense and not worth it. I thought I had to go to the ER. I was getting tremors in my hands then started losing control of my hands and the right side of my face. I got terrible bruising all over my legs. Nausea, didn't want to eat anything. Oh, yeah and no sleep on this med. I felt like I wasn't in control of my body or emotions. Was v ... Show Full Comment

    Comment:
This medication works fairly well, but the choice to use it or not is a bit of a toss-up when you consider the side effects. It helps with anxiety and OCD, reducing the impact to about half what it was before, but the effectiveness fluctuates. My doctor says that I should take a higher dose (I take 100mg) to get a better effect, but any dose higher than what I take now is too hard for me to handle ... Show Full Comment
