I took this medication for severe pain in my back. On the third day I did get some relief but the following days were just as painful as before. I experienced weight gain and trouble staying asleep while taking Medrol pack.

This is my 3rd dose pack in a year. The first was for severe bronchitis and coughing in December 2013. The second one was for severe poison ivy in April 2014 and the current (August 2014) is for poison ivy. The dosage and use of the dispensing packet are great. The first day taking 6 pills and the night sweats that followed was a bummer. After 3 days on the medicine the metalic taste left in my mouth all day long is almost unbearable. The only positive about the drug is its despensing packet is fool proof. Other than that it has to be some ones idea of a cruel joke.

I have herniated discs in my lower back and recently developed radiculopathy from impingement of the sciatic nerve. The pain was debilitating; I could neither stand nor lay down without literally screaming from the electric shock of pain. I would say this drug is a necessary evil under certain circumstances like this. The side effects are horrible. I'm on day 3 of the 6-day dose pack, and I
