I had a infected eyelid and within 12 hours the swelling had started to go down and they pain was gone. I was very tired during the time I was taking it but that was the only negative side effect I had.

I had what appeared to be a nasy cold for several days. It got to be where I almost was unable to talk because my throat was so irritated. By the end of day two on cephalexin my cold was almost gone and I could talk normal. The morning of day three I had a severe breakout in hives over most of my arms and legs. I am on this medication post-op from having jaw surgery & it has caused severe genital itching/possible yeast infection, affected my taste buds and appetite (I don't want to eat anything because everything has a bad, bitter after- taste) and has possibly caused severe constipation, although that could also be due to the percocet. I got put on it to prevent an infection in my leg where I had a cyst removed. I had a really bad allergic reaction to it. It kinda scared me, but luckily I got off of it before it hurt me as bad as it could have.
