This drug should be evaluated by the FDA. The side effects are horrible and in my case lead to C-Diff. It destroys the good bacteria in your gut and the bad takes over. Horrible flu symptoms, dirreha, stomach problems. BEWARE!! Takes weeks to recover from the side effects, they are worse than my orginal problem..unacceptable!!! Had very bad heartburn after taking it just before bed and in the middle of the night. It may be because of an empty stomach and laying down right after I took it. This is after one day of starting it.

I was prescribed this drug to treat a recurring abscesses tooth. It is very difficult to tolerate, but seems to be working. Stomach upset and persistent diarrhea. Supposed to take 4 times per day, but after the first 3 pills, I'm so nauseated that I find it very difficult to force myself to take the 4th one. Following dental work was given this. No idea how effective it was as only took it for a day but gave me a horrid headache and nausea that made me feel simply dreadful.
