    I have used this medication for 3 days and have not seen any type of improvement. I'm beginning to think I'm having some type of reaction to it. The burning and pain is so bad when I use the drops (every two hours) I'm taking a ibuprophen about 15 minutes before hand to head off the pain. Eye is still very swollen, watering and painful.     So far I just finished day 4 of my treatment with these drops. So I can't really rate it effectively and perhaps I should of waited. Im told 2-3 weeks and the opthomologist said in 2 weeks I should be fine. I'm hoping for a miracle here. I've never had this before, and it came on 2 weeks ago. in left eye.     Trifluridine healed my cornea! I tried taking it one day at a time, and when I think back it didn't take forever. Nothing is more important than my need to see!! With my Doctor and patience, we prevailed!!

    I have had this Infection of the Cornea of the Eye due to Herpes Simplex several times in the last 7 years. I've always used the "Brand" name of Viroptic and it worked perfectly. Within 10 days or less it was gone. However I am on Disability now and I have to use the Generic version of Viroptic, which is "trifluridine opht" by "Falcon Pharmaceuticals". This medica ...     Pain began subsiding after about 3 applications!! So grateful for this treatment for this painful condidtion.
