I am writing about six weeks into treatment (daily taking a pill at about the same time every day). The reason I am writing is to clarify some things other writers mentioned. One thing is, you may not see ANY change for several months, because the damaged nail stays damaged; it is the NEW nail(s) that slowly appear that will be clear and free of damage. I suffered with toe/foot fungus for years & I'm on my 6 month of taking generic Lamisil & finally see results in my toenail. The only downside is the GI upset, constipation, & headache. I dealt with the side effects because I want to care the nail fungus. It works if you can tolerate the side effects.

Struggled with a toe fungus for years and I got to point where I just wanted to get rid of it. I took this medication and within a few weeks I noticed results. Im almost done taking the medication after being on it for 84 days. Is there any thing I should do to keep my toes healthy?

I have been taking the med for about three months now and have noticed improvement in my toenails but it remains present overall. I will continue to take and see if after 6-9 months it resolves. I am having upset stomach with diarrhea and headaches with the med. have not had any lab tests done yet. No follow up appt was scheduled with my PCC after if was prescribed.

I have been taking this med for almost 3 months now, I do see somewhat of improvement, side effects at first nauseous, headache not to bad but then realized it could possibly be the coffee! Stopped drinking coffee! Not much side affects now. That's a plus! I drink meds around 7 every evening. I just wish I would have taken some before pics first. My situation is that I've been taking thes ... Show Full Comment
