    tegretol has controlled my seizures for 12yrs.sometimes i feel fatiged.have problems with sun exposer.overall has kept working.

    I have been taking Tegretol XR for a few months, now. It hasn't been working for me at all. It caused my to have severe headaches, dizzy spells, lack of sleep, lack of concentraction, an increase in being confused and feeling like I'm slow, altered my hear, made me feel fusterated all of the time.     i was on thr regular tegretol pink pill untill my insurance would not cover. my nuerol suggested the tegretol xr which is covered 100%, but i am tired more and my libido is at 0%. i spk with my Gyn and there is really nothing i can do. i do have chronic bacterial vaginosis, i am not sure if there is a link. but i do wonder about this medication. i have been on tegretol since i was 13 and no relap ...     Side effects I do have are dizziness and a bit of blurred vision, but not always on either on those. I think I'm more tired than I used to be. I haven't had any seizures since I began regularly taking this medicine and I've been on it for around 9 years now. (My seizures have been controlled and cause no problems in my life, but I may just have a calmer disorder to begin with.)
