I switched from Zoloft to bupropion on the advice of my doctor. It seems to be doing the trick, however, about a week after I began taking it, I had a week-long bout of diarrhea. During that same time I had nausea, bloating and sudden flashes of heat. I haven't had a follow-up for actual results but they only found one polyp in my stomach. So now having read these reviews, I'm wondering if it could be this medication. Can anyone speak to these symptoms and if so, did they ever subside?

i just started this for a week now, all of a sudden i found my self extremely depressed, and i am normally a very happy person with a positive outlook on life. so my doctor prescribed this. so far i think its working, im having some side effects. the big one is insomnia, i was wondering if anyone else has had this and if so does it go away?

I started on Bupropion to deal with my depression after I'd lost a lot of interest in a lot of things I'd previously loved like running, competing, exercise, etc. I was crying a lot for no reason, and my previous good self esteem was in the toilet. It really helped with the crying, but it increased my anxiety dramatically and I'd never had anxiety before. I also feel it made my emotions very "flat". So instead of crying all the time I was having very few emotions even when I should be. I went from a formerly bubbly, motivating person (prior to the depression) to a quiet, withdrawn person who was too afraid to go outside and run and running has been my life for 15 years. I'm going to talk to my doctor about reducing the dose.
