This was prescribed by my doctor with no sound evidence that I had mCRC. CT Scan and PET Scan showed lesions that were suspicious but not diagnostic. After three months of FolFiri + Avastin [my research tells me that Folfox4 is standard. Lost my hair which oncologist attributed to irinotecan. I QUIT ALL CHEMOTHERAPY + AVASTIN.

well just reporting back on Irinotecan and had a reaction to this drug as well-went into shock during treatment, second treatment, Looks like my body has built up a resistance to this drug as well. Right now on cancer blocker to stop the CEA counts from going higher. Next treatment unknown at this time just trying to stop the growth right now. Right now on cancer blocker to stop the CEA counts from going higher. Next treatment unknown at this time just trying to stop the growth right now. Be careful and be aware of the reactions you can have so you can act right away before you go into severe shock with this drug. The feeling is a strange feeling like something is spreading thru your body quickly, strange tastes in mouth then ryders. Have someone with you during each treatment to react if these systoms occure. Time is critical for you.

Many of the nonconsequential side effects have occured with me: hair loss, dizziness and instability while walking. Only occas. do I experience nausea but it is easisly relieved with oral dissolving tablets. I go to the doctor's office once a week and receive this drug thru the 'port' in my shoulder. I've been living with this cancer (that has now spread to my lung) for MANY years ... Show Full Comment

I've been living with this cancer (that has now spread to my lung) for MANY years and I really hate to say this, but living with cancer and it's 'problems' has just become a way of life (strange but true)for me. Some of the cancer drugs that I've taken in the past have caused more difficulty for me and have given me lasting side-effects that are difficult.
