I was shocked when I found out I had genital herpes since I could not explain how I got it. After testing I was told it was Herpes Simplex 1 which is actually very common. Although it doesn't usually cause outbreaks on the genitals, it certainly can (without sex). use it daily when I am in a relationship. Have never noticed any side effects. I can go over a year without an outbreak, and I do what I can to prevent transmitting.

Has had it for over 15years. I does get better with time(less outbreaks). Only take generic when I feel an outbreak coming on. Did use name brand in the beginning, but my insurance will make me pay more, now that there's a generic version. The generic version doesn't work as fast but I find that taking hot baths or just a hot towel or hot cotton ball directly on sore will ease the pain
