This drug does absolutely nothing for a cough! I was prescribed this medicine on two separate occasions and it didn’t work either time! Third time the physician’s assistant prescribed a different medicine!

100 mg, every 4 hours. Tried this drug for relentless cough twice in the past 2 years. Useless both times. The cough continued unabated. If you doctor will give you hycodan, GET THAT. It works. Benzonatate is a joke.

About 5 hours after my first dose my face started to itch, one eye swelled, my toungue felt weird. I never had breathing problems thankfully. I have never had an allergic reaction to anything and this was scary.

Find the medication very ineffective, does basically nothing to suppress the cough.

Fantastic experience. coughing impetus went away and breathing became easier. Gave me a great night of sleep after several days of hacking.
