    The very first week, I lost so much hair. I have large bald spots. I was thinking of hair transplant.....Any good idea to grow hair?

    Prescribed 50mg dosage. After 1 week, passed out and covered with hives. Diagnosed as allergic reaction!

    I had been on Levothyroxine for several years and was doing OK except for some jiont and muscle pains. 3 years ago my doctor left town and I had to go to another doctor (Nurse practitioner). Everything was fine until she started checking my TSH. I was taking 112 dosage and she said I needed more so she increased it to 125. Three months later she increased it to 137.     I felt much better within a month but I seem to have 2 side effect my face I've been breaking out and gained a couple of lbs if the weight gain continues I will tell them to change my medication. Also a couple of days ago my dosage was upped from 75 to 88.. I shall see what happens.. BUT from what I've been reading is that most of you are seeing your PCP, my PCP referred me to a specialis ...     My TSH was 5.2 so my PC put me on this drug about 3 years ago. I am no longer cold and not quite as tired but I have lost 90% of my hair and will soon have none left. I had NO hair loss before starting this drug--extremely thick, shiny, dark hair, even during the years that I was supposedly hypo with this TSH reading.
