My 2 year old son was prescribed this medication to control allergies and asthma syptoms. While it seems to somewhat control the symptons he has sever mood changes. My son, who is almost 6, was given this for constant coughing. The doc said it was allergies and gave him this med. The cough was so bad that it was keeping him awake as well as mom and dad awake, at night. I have to say, the cough has dimished but not completely gone away. At least he can sleep without having a coughing fit lasting for an hour.

My son has always had severe allergies. He has had symptoms including enlarged tonsils and adenoids, sleep apnea, congestion, and daily coughing. Recently, his eardrum burst. He was prescribed Vazobid for his congestion and has not coughed one time since he has been taking the medication. It is amazing considering he has coughed daily his entire life. It has definitely helped him.
