Have been prescribed similar opiate meds for severe, continuous lower back pain (post-surgery) that have made me groggy, clumsy, and forgetful. Opana has far less of the aforementioned side affects and works better to take the edge off of the pain that I experience. I recommend this medication for anyone suffering from severe pain symptoms. I can't really comment on this medication yet because I just started it yesterday. Some of the reviews I have read helped me to know there is hope. I've suffered for years from lower back pain of unidentified origin. I'm NSAID/Tylenol intolerant. I've tried Oycodone, Nucyenta, methadone, fentanyl, hydromorphone, and tramadol with limited success. Opana is the best at managing my pain hands down but tends to make me sleepy.
