After taking one dose of this medication I felt like every tendon in my body was going to rupture. I was unable to walk. It was very frightening. Thankfully I only took one dose. If I had taken more I suspect I could have been permanently damaged. I was told that my reaction was extremely rare but that is apparently not the case. Do not take this drug!!

In June, 2013 I developed a Severe sinus infection. This was the 3rd antibiotic I was given for this infection. My prescription was for 21 days. The nurse practitioner at my Ear, Nose and Throat dr asked if I was a runner and mentioned the Achilles tendon tears. I told her we rode bikes for 15-25 miles and I was assured that would be fine. On day 10 I developed pain in my right shoulder. I google ... Show Full Comment

This drug has been a miracle drug for me! I'm 16 and have had chronic sinusitis since I was 12. I recently suffered from a terrible sinus infection that was treated with augmentin and steroids. I have been augmentin at least 15 times in the past 2 years and it's getting to the point where I am becoming immune to it. This infection led into bronchitis and I was given a codeine syrup. M ... I had a sinus/ear infection that was treated in the past with other long term antibiotics and eventually, surgery. I needed this antibiotic about 2 months after surgery. It has really made an improvement. The best advice I can give is if you need to take this medication, take high potency Omega-3, multivitamins, eat bananas (or another source of potassium)and drink lots of water too. They helped me ... Show Full Comment
