I'm 52 and have had migraines for 7 years. I've tried all of the treatments from Botox, to all of the medications, massage, accupuncture and nothing has worked nearly as well as taking this medicine to prevent the migraines. I have had migraines since I was about 8 or 9 years old and I wasn't diagnosed until my 20s. Honestly, they weren't taken seriously back then. I started at 200 mg than moved to 400mg and more recently moved to 600 mg ( a pretty high dosage). I was prescribed this as a preventive for my severe and frequent migraines. This drug gave me zero relief and caused terrible side effects -- insomnia, depression and severe numbness in arms and hands.
