I'm 52 and have had migraines for 7 years. I've tried all of the treatments from Botox, to all of the medications, massage, accupuncture and nothing has worked nearly as well as taking this medicine to prevent the migraines. Now when I start to get a migraine I take Cafragot immediately and together am able to function. My migraines are due to menopause and I am not able to take HRT. So th ... Show Full Comment

I inherited this incredibly crippling disease/disorder and it seemed that even my own Doctor didn't believe how difficult it is to function when it hits. I'm positive that I was labeled as a "drug abuser" with my Fioricet, as I had migraines nearly 4 - 5 times/week and some just hung around. I have had migraines since I was about 8 or 9 years old and I wasn't diagnosed until my 20s. Honestly, they weren't taken seriously back then. I noticed that every time I perspired after doing any kind of work I would get a migraine. My activities were extremely limited and it affected me as a mom. I missed a LOT of my kids' games because there was no migraine medication that worked ... Show Full Comment

I was prescribed this as a preventive for my severe and frequent migraines. This drug gave me zero relief and caused terrible side effects -- insomnia, depression and severe numbness in arms and hands.
