I have had treatment resistant depression for many years when DNA tests showed that Pristiq was to be one of the very few effective drugs for me. I won't say it has been a Godsend, but it has been effective along with a small dose of Abilify. I take 50mg and it is said that more than 50mg is generally not helpful so I have not asked to increase the dose. I've had no unpleasant side effe

Anyone who appreciates their physical health as much as their mental health I'm warning/begging you not to take Pristiq. It's intolerable in every way. I've been on it 4 weeks and 2 days. This drug worked very well for me, however, I was told it was not addictive. I found that to be untrue when I ran out over the weekend. I was never so sick in my entire life and that was only one day without. Now I have to find out how to get off this drug.

After taking prozac for many years it seemed like it lost its effectiveness. I started taking pristiq and my mind seems to be fine, the only thing ive noticed is that my entire body has been so tender to even touch. My clothes even make it hurt. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen?

I was prescribed this medication to supplement my other anti-depressants. Couldn't really notice a difference, but trusted it was taking its time to work. After a while I told my doctor I wanted to come off of it, as I had seen little to no improvement, and it also messed with my libido. Immediately after stopping this medication I experienced very severe and frightening withdrawal symptoms
