I was given this pill as a solution to my anemia. Instead of giving me more energy as expected, I had immediate nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, became very weak and emotional, as well as having hot flashes. I felt worse after taking the medicine than I had before. I would not recommend this to anyone. This is the worst I have felt in my entire life. I actually considered going to the emergency room

Bifera seems to be everything it is advertized to be. However, it did not raise my iron level and neither did the prescription drug Reocyte Plus. After two years of taking numerous iron supplements, I tested positive for celiac disease. With this disease, iron is not readily absorbed into the system and no amount of supplements will help. Really liked it, but now I have developed hive-type welts, itching, esp extremities and now back, back of neck. I had a similar reaction from IV iron (imferon) in the 80s, rheumatoid-type symptoms. Could this be similar. Am using the newer Bifera; have used Slow Fe in the past...it is used for chronic renal failure anemia in my case.
