Nuvigil has been life changing for me. Before taking Nuvigil I would nod off during meetings, while driving, talking, or standing. I was diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia suspicious of narcolepsy. I take 250mg in the morning which usually gets me through the day. I can't believe how much better I feel and I have had 0 side effects. Definate life saver for me!

I was diagnosed with narcolepsy in hs and have been on Cylert and Dexedrine; eventually reached tolerance to Dex so dr put me on Nuvigil 150 MG; didn't help much but give headaches; he re-assessed and put me on Nuvigil 250 MG; still not much better - still have sleepiness, lethargy and low energy. Crashes seem to come by 11 am or so (I take it at 7 am every day). Really disappointed and will ... Show Full Comment

I have been taking this medication for my narcolepsy for a few months now. I take the 150 mg tablets once a day. It seems to help for the most part, but I still have occasional episodes of sleepiness. I tried the 250mg tablets for a brief period because my doctor had run out of the 150mg samples. I was told to half the 250mg tablets. This worked for a couple of weeks and then slacked off severely. ... Show Full Comment

Life-Changing is the best word I can use for this. I have my life back. I can think during the day again, it no longer feels like my brain is wading through mud, my reaction time is back to normal, I can remmember stuff from 10 years ago, I cannot begin to list the amount of stuff that I can get done in the day while on this that were just overwhelming Thinking about doing before. I was depress ... Show Full Comment

I have Narcolepsy and have had it for 15 years. I was previously on Provigil but my doctor (who also has Narcolepsy) said that Nuvigil worked better and had less side effects...plus it was half the price of Provigil. I have had almost all the side effects, headache, nausea, diarrhea, depression including some of the odder ones sore back and stiff neck. I don't think that Nuvigil works as we ... Show Full Comment
